More about Norwegian-Korean Cultural Center

Building a cultural center in the Bergen area has long been a dream for Grandmaster Cho Woon Sup. Together with Bjørn Sulen, he has been working to realize this since the early 2000s. In 2012, it became a reality to buy a small farm in Bruvik, Osterøy. This was made possible with support from Trond Mohn. It took almost 10 years to build the Korean garden and adapt the house to our activities.

The work of converting the small farm into a Korean garden has been done by Grandmaster Cho Woon Sup with great volunteer help from many, both from the west and visitors. It is a great deal of work that has been done, and we continue to develop the property with more attractions and opportunities for both exercise and recreation in the future.

We have a number of events during the year, many of these related to Taekwondo and Korean martial arts which have gained a foothold on Osterøy after the cultural center became a reality.
